Thursday Things

Well hello there! It's been awhile since I've posted to this label. But don't think it means I haven't fallen in love with a few things along my hiatus. Here are just a few:

I love my Initial Necklace

Looking forward to busting out these beauties!
The one and only Missoni for Converse

This will come in handy when traveling abroad!
Meet Jackery

The best cross body, shoulder or around the waist
bag for those active vacations:

And the absolute best tee I stumbled
upon in Kitson:

Thursday Things

Those who know me well, know I have an addiction to exercise of some type. I am not hard core at any one thing, but I do enjoy keeping active. It is my medicine for stability. And wouldn't you know it, lucky me, there are A LOT of cute workout clothes!

I love to work out in shorts. No matter the sport. No matter the weather.
No really. I've run in the windy city of Chicago in mid-winter wearing shorts.
My faves are these Shake & Break Shorts
and these Speed Shorts

And this is the real reason why I picked up tennis in my 40's:
Yes, it's a skirt. But there are built in shorts.
And here I swore I would never wear a "ruffle butt" anything.

And in my crazy state of mind I decided to take up yoga. You know, because I
have sooooo much extra time in my day. I just want to be able to touch my toes.
Without pulling something. Ha!
Although I have yet to do yoga in anything but shorts,
doesn't hurt to have more cute clothes.

And I absolutely hate working out in tanks.
But thanks to my fellow exercise friends, Marcy & Jeannie,
I am thinking about trying this No Limits Tank:

And can I tell you how much I LOVE my new running partner.
This is the Garmin 10 Forerunner:
By far the easiest watch to use. Thank you Darling Hubby!

And last but not least, what keeps me on my feet. Like literally.
My favorite shoe for all sports. Asics.

This zodiac constellation necklace arrived from good 'ol Nordies:
The chain is nice and long and pendant durable.

Thursday Things

Cleaning out the closet can do wonders. It's a chance to rediscover "lost" passions, as well as make room for new ones. ; )
I am a lover of handbags.
Lately, I have been re-loving (yes, I know that is not a word) this Tory:
She is the softest bag ever. How on Earth have I forgotten about her?
So glad my friend, Anne, talked me into buying her during our NY trip.

Now, if I could only get my hands on this bag:

Surprise from Hubby

My friend, Marina (Yummy Mummy), and I have late night texting every so often when either hubby is gone (trips or work). The texting usually involves a glass of wine or champers pic and/or our "justification purchase."
Darling Hubby is gone all week for business. :(
To my surprise, I found this when I opened up my wallet:
I cannot wait for this to arrive:
Just in time for an upcoming ski trip; which I am praying for fresh snow!

Thursday Things

Old things make me just as happy. Especially treasures with a story attached or sentimental value; the later is always the best in my book..

Like my FAVORITE watch in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD.
My dad gave me this watch almost 15 years ago. It is a classic Tag Heuer and  I wear it EVERYDAY.

Years ago, I collected Swarovksi.
I was turned on by the first piece my dad gave me from his trip to Austria.
It still makes my heart smile.

I truly love my Swarovski champagne flutes. We used these on our wedding day!

Last but not least, the first ring David bought me when we were dating:

Thursday Things

Welcome to Thursday Things! Who knows exactly how long this will last. These are a few things that make me smile . . .
I don't really like nuts, but I LOVE these!
Gimme a Diet Dr. Pepper to go along and I am set.

A recent trip to Target was a little more costly than I wanted.
I somehow managed to lose my favorite Tory Burch glasses. sigh
But I have fallen head over heels for these aviators:
Can't wait until they arrive!

The girls did a little online shopping and adored these on H&M:
This one for only $9.95

And this was a $6.00 steal!

And I scooped up more of my fave Jersey shirts in different colors, also from H&M.
Only $9.95!

Last but not least:
Can't get enough of this view.
It is January, right?

Adult Weekend

It's not very often when our weekend is solely an adult one. But tis the season!

Ugly Sweater Party at Jessica's
Don't you love the matchy-ness? : )
Turns out the women's department has more ugly options.
Now that's love!

I loved Marcy's red pants!

Cupcake Camp Santa Barbara

Sunday was the Cupcake Camp Santa Barbara event I posted about last week. What an amazing and delicious fundraiser. Hard to believe this was all started a few years ago by a then little 13 year old girl, Blake Colvin. When you have a moment, you should read about Cupcakes for Cancer. And when you do, I hope you support Blake's vision and motto:
Children making a sweet difference one crumb at a time.
So many to choose from!
Maybe one of each?
See the pink cupcakes on top? I let Sophia have her very first piece of gum.
This was a a BIG DEAL : )
You can never go wrong with a Whodelicious Cupcake!

Sophia's Latest Style

Ah yes, Sophia is a little girl who loves the world of trendy fashions. Oh Lordy, why am I having flashbacks to my childhood days of a revolving closet gushing of trends?! Heaven help us! : )

I was very surprised she chose red/black feathers.
I thought for sure she would want pink or purple.

The Makings of a Bag Ladie

If you read the Gilt(y) Pleasure & the Bag Ladie post, then you had to have known it was just a matter of time. I mean, what kind of mother would I be if I didn't pass down a little tradition? I'm pretty sure it's hereditary. The girls love handbags. As well as shoes. Sophia is always wanting some type of purse or wallet. And Kalista is constantly wearing either my shoes or her sister's along with carrying around our handbags.

The girls and I were shopping today and Sophia was admiring this cute little wristlet. The beam in her eyes was a familiar look. : ) I hesitated for a second, but then I asked her if she would like to have this adorable accessory. Of course her answer was, "Yes!" And although Sophia already owns a few purses, this one was different. It wasn't one those character purses like Hello Kitty or Dora. This one was more sophisticated.

My little Fashionista!
Her first "taste" of what makes her a Bag Ladie's daughter.
