Mrs. Roper

I realize I am probably dating myself but do you remember Mrs. Roper from the show Three's Company? While in Maui and unbeknownst to her, Sophia gave her best impression of this eclectic 70's character. The accessories were a bit overwhelming, but I've learned to pick & choose my battles.

Maui - Take II

We had so much fun in Maui last October, we decided to pack up and do it again. This time we took Kalista along for the ride, as well as Sophia.

Kids did great on the long plane ride over : )

Mother's Day

The day was beautiful and perfect in every way, starting with a morning run to a surprise morning spa treatment at Spa Helani to the gorgeous beach/pool weather to the low-key local evening. Mother's Day in Maui. What could be better?

Thank you, David, for giving me the greatest gifts...our girls.

My dinner request: Takeout from Maui Tacos. You gotta try it!
David had reservations for us at Roy's (one of my favorites),
but I really just wanted a low key evening; like a local.

Sophia's Gourmet Adventures

This vacation has consisted of A LOT of sugar! Although Sophia is not deprived of sugar back in Santa Barbara, we definitely limit her more than most. Sophia has been in Heaven with all the pineapple and guava juice. Oh well, after all, it is vacation. She will be back to her normal routine in a few days.

papaya, strawberries and of course, pineapple juice)

Not too sure how many kids

Oh We're Going to a Hukilau...

On Monday evening we took Sophia to her very first luau. We knew she would enjoy watching the dancers; especially the fire dancers. To our surprise though, she really loved the hula lesson on stage. Sophia had a great time and was a fabulous trooper with this 4 hour event!
