Yo Gabba Gabba!

Sophia has been waiting for this day. Her favorite show, Yo Gabba Gabba, had two of their characters (Plex & Brobee) at the zoo. We met our friends Jack & Luke, who are also YGG fans. And of course, as to be expected, Sophia was all talk but no action. She was scared! Plex and Brobee were taking turns at the 'Meet & Greet' so we only took pics with Plex.

Brunch

Today Sophia & I met my old friends Brian & Lisa for Brunch at the Biltmore. We all met, years ago, during their residencies at the hospital back home. Now they both live in Ventura and we all have kids around the same age.
Sophia was very excited because I promised her she could have juice if she was a good girl. Such a silly bribe? Sophia's beverage choices are milk & water. Not so silly now, is it? And yes, I did dilute the juice! But I didn't dilute the chocolate milk. That was a bonus for telling me she had to potty and for using the big, big girl potty twice. What is a big, big girl potty? Well it's the potty with the adult seat. She only likes the potty with the seat adapter, so this was a good thing that happened. Granted I had to hold Sophia so she wouldn't fall in, but she did it!

The Fair

We took Sophia and Kalista to our local fair this evening. Our friends Waverly & Amelyse were at the fair too. Petting zoo, fun rides, fair food and a taste of her first cotton candy - Sophia had the time of her life!

Saks & The City

I attended Saks & The City, an event that benefits Teddy Bear, with some gal friends. Love, love, love an evening of cocktails, shopping and pampering! There's nothing like getting dolled up and being surrounded by couture! Such a fabulous event for a wonderful cause.
