Hummingbird Cake
I had never heard of a Hummingbird Cake until I Googled "cake with bananas and pineapple." Apparently the origin of the name is not known - only speculation is maybe it has something to do with the sugary goodness like the nectar hummingbirds love to feed upon.

My grandmother (may she rest in peace) LOVED hummingbirds! I didn't know there was such a thing as a Hummingbird Cake! I will try making this in her memory. Thank you so much for sharing it!
